Supplier partnership is equally important for the Group and we strongly support national development strategies through ethical procurement practices. As a result, we work closely with Bumiputera suppliers and vendors as exemplified by Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BN Shipyard). This is aligned with the Government's objective of developing Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs), particularly Bumiputera companies to be skilled and competent vendors under the guidance of Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development (MECD).

To date, BN Shipyard has collaborated with 1,190 local vendors which have certainly helped to create various job opportunities. In the long-term, this will assist the Government's aspiration for more local entrepreneurs to provide services in the maritime and defense related industries.

It is also a priority for the Group to achieve customer satisfaction by offering quality products and services. This in turn helps to solidify the Group's reputation as a corporate entity that is committed to excellence. Among some of the places where customers are able to enjoy the Group's high quality service is at its established chain of Royale Bintang Hotels, the Curve and its numerous BHPetrol stations throughout the nation.
