Metrojaya To Open At the Curve

 On 5 January 2006, Boustead Curve Sdn Bhd signed a tenancy agreement with MJ Department Stores for the tenancy of Metrojaya’s MJ Fashion Concept Store at the Curve.


The new store which occupies two levels (Ground and First Floor) with 60,000 square feet of retail space, will be the Group’s latest lifestyle fashion store.  It is expected to open for business in the second quarter of this year.

 YBhg. Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin, Group Managing Director, Boustead Holdings Berhad, said, “Since the Curve opened its doors slightly over a year ago, it has always been our intention to offer top-notched retail brands that will complement the Curve’s unique lifestyle and fashion appeal.”

 “We are indeed pleased to have Metrojaya, a household name, as a retail partner. Not only are we synergistic in terms of being a trendsetter, the Curve’s catchment of discerning consumers is also an ideal fit to Metrojaya’s market segment profile.”

 According to YBhg. Tan Sri Lodin, the Curve after one year has continued to see amazing results in terms of increased consumer traffic each month. Consumer traffic increased from 250,000 in December 2004 to more than half a million a month in December 2005.  “We noticed that visitors to the Curve are mostly families, the young and the young at heart as well as the fashion conscious. Hence, we are experiencing a flow of quality consumers with attractive disposable income, which bodes well for our retail partners,” he explained.

 MJ Fashion Concept Store at the Curve will offer cosmetics and fragrances, along with fashion and accessories for both ladies and men.
